Member Showcase - Lena Saugen
I “met” Lena Saugen through my private Facebook Group, Fashion Photographers Connect! She started posting pictures and BTS videos from her latest work and I was so in love with her images! Lena hired me for a portfolio review and we got to know each other better through Zoom! I have to admit, that when she booked the consultation and sent me her website, I fell in love with her work! She has a born talent and eye for photography. Her work immediately reads that she connects with her subjects and understands lighting, composition, and capturing the moment! She is, in my mind, a master photographer! And after our Zoom meetings, I felt like I made a new friend. Here is a bio about Lena and her team as well as some words about this shoot, that I love so much! Read on!

About The Shoot:
The Background:
These are strange times. We are living in uncertainty, facing ongoing global challenges and threats, ranging from climate change, food, energy, and water crisis (disasters), dangers of extinction, and the present pandemic.
As human beings, we naturally seek to understand, predict, and control the future – to learn and to keep us safe. But what happens when we cannot predict the future anymore?
The vision:
'A Message' is an artwork reflecting human vulnerability. It also explores an inner strength rising from hope and faith, despite feeling anxious and scared. It's a message on balancing wisdom and power and allowing yourself to get in touch with how you're feeling, without surrendering. A reminder that you are not alone. It's a story about a girl escaping her world to find comfort in nature's eternal rhythms. It's about a soulmate/soul animal (the horse), an abandoned farm, and a mighty mountain - all symbolizing the eternal.
